Friday, September 23 kicks off the weekend right with Julia Neville and Matthew Pinkham, followed by performances from Clare Dunn and Brothers Osborne before having Jake Owen close out the night.
On Saturday, September 24, Mitch Kirkpatrick, Shaina Rhodes, and Ryan Robinette will open up the day. After that, Josh Thompson and Chris Lane will take over the stage. Finally, Frankie Ballard and Brett Eldredge will headline the night and end Country Night Lights with a bang!
A new contender has just thrown their hat in the ring for the country song of the summer. Jake Owen is joined by Chris Stapleton on “If He Ain’t Gonna Love You,” a serenading song that burns steady with plenty of groove. It’ll be going up against “H.O.L.Y.”, Florida Georgia Line’s heartfelt ballad, and Owen’s current single, “American Country Love Song.”
The two singles could not be more different though. Where “American Country Love Song” shines, “If He Ain’t Gonna Love You” simmers. It’s more spicy, dance floor dare than its windows-down-and-sunshine counterpart.
Stapleton has already proven he can bolster up a song with his backup vocals when recording on Gary Allen‘s“Hangover Tonight,” which is very much cut from the same cloth as “If He Ain’t Gonna Love You.”
This is the third single off of his upcoming album American Love, and arguable the best yet. He’s sure to be playing all of these new songs and more at Country Night Lights!
